Township Divisions
Objectives of Township Divisions:
- Act as legislative watch over the regulating bodies within their township. This includes attending meetings of your local village or township board of trustees, and acting as a watchdog on behalf of the taxpayers in your area.
- Report township news and activities at the meetings, and help us find new activities for the group to engage in. Does your local town have a festival that we should have a booth at? Is there a local parade that you believe we would be a good fit to march in?
- Host designated social meetings for fellow DuPage Libertarians. Perhaps you know a local venue that could be used for watching liberty-themed films, or maybe just an interesting gathering place for members to hang out, relax, and have a good time. Some members even host small get-togethers at their homes, though it ids always up to the individuals to host social gatherings in any capacity that they see fit.
- Recruit members, engage in activism, and help push politics in a libertarian direction.
Township chairmen can recruit and appoint staff to aid them in their duties, and manage their divisions as they see fit, so long as it’s done without violating any of the DPL’s bylaws.
Detailed maps (boundaries, roads, towns, parks) of each township are included in each townships section.
